Semi Ajayi: Super Eagles star in doubt for West Brom tie with Rotherham

Super Eagles’ defender, Semi Ajayi is a major doubt to feature for West Brom against Rotherham United on Saturday as he appeared to have suffered fresh injury.
Ajayi has gone through much parts of the current season with series of injuries that has a telling implications on his performances and availiability for his club’s campaign for topfight promotion.
He was seen training with the rest of the squad after recovering from his long-term injury, but has missed West Brom’s duel against Sunderland last weekend after picking up a shoulder injury in training.
The Baggies’ manager, Carlos Corberan who disclosed the development during the media briefing on Thursday said the tower defender will require further assessment before the Saturday encounter.
“I was thinking of playing with Semi in this position because he was fine from the previous injury, but he was involved in one accident in training,” said Manager Corberan.
“He went to the floor and he suffered a problem with his shoulder. We still had doubts the day before the game, but it was impossible for him to have his normal mobility. It’s not an important injury but we need to wait.”
With just two points above the drop zone, West Brom will be aiming for a positive result to distance themselves from the relegation places when they welcome Rotherdam at home this weekend.
