Tanzanian giants Simba Queens have secured the signing of Nigerian midfielder Amarachi Odoma from Edo Queens, bolstering their squad ahead of the new campaign.

Odoma played a pivotal role in Edo Queens’ historic 2023/24 season, helping the Benin City side clinch their first NWFL Premiership title, win the WAFU-B Champions League qualifiers, and finish fourth at the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Her consistent club form earned her senior women’s national team debut, underlining her status as one of Africa’s emerging midfield talents.

Confirming her exit, Odoma shared an emotional farewell message to Edo Queens supporters.

“It’s time to say goodbye to everyone at Edo Queens. I’m truly grateful for everything. I’ve made amazing memories here and gained so much experience.

“Big thanks to my teammates, coaches, fans, and everyone who has been part of my journey. Now it’s time to start a new chapter. I’ll always support the team and wish them the very best. Adaa Edo Queens! Always in my heart.”

With her blend of creativity, composure, and ambition, Odoma is expected to add significant depth to Simba Queens’ midfield as the club continues its pursuit of domestic dominance and continental success.
