By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Ahead of next month’s CAF Women’s Champions League, the host city and stadiums for the tournament have been unveiled.

The city of Casablanca in Morocco will host the competition where eight teams will battle it out for the prestigious title. The selected stadiums are Mohamed El Abdi – El Jadida and Laarbi Zaouli – Casablanca.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) earlier this month conducted the draw for the tournament.
Hosts, AS FAR (Morocco), Aigles de la Medina (Senegal), TP Mazembe (Democratic Republic of Congo), and University of Western Cape (South Africa) are in Group A.

Group B houses holders, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies (South Africa), Tutankhamun (Egypt), and Edo Queens (Nigeria) will contest for two semi-final places.

The 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League is the fourth edition with Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies clinching the titles in 2021 and 2023. AS FAR FC emerged as winners in 2022 on home soil and is hosting the competition for the second time.

Interestingly, five debutants will participate in the tournament. Apart from Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, AS FAR FC, and TP Mazembe, other teams are making their debut appearance.
