Taiwo Awoniyi, Ola Aina set for point deduction with Nottingham Forest
By Monsurah Olatunji

Nottingham Forest, are in danger of a possible point deduction in the English Premier League if they’re found guilty of breaching the financial fair play (FFP) rules.
Since their promotion to the top flight under Steve Cooper, Nottingham Forest have been active in the transfer market, bringing in a staggering forty-two players.
The club which currently boast of two Nigerian players in Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina, reported an annual loss of £45.6 million, totaling £136.8 million over three years, significantly higher than the permitted £105 million loss over the same period.
Considering a three-year period, it gets worse for Nuno’s side, as they’ve only spent two years in the top-flight, meaning their permissible losses would be even smaller.
In a publication released by The Athletic, all Premier League clubs will learn later this month whether they are in breach of the league’s profitability and sustainability regulations (PSRs).
In due time, it’ll be revealed if the governing body of the English Premier League will allow Taiwo Awoniyi’s club to appeal the situation, or if they’ll be given a fine.
The Tricky Trees have won two games in succession since the sacking of Steve Cooper and the appointment of Former Wolves coach, Nuno Espirito Santo.
They are currently 15th in the league standings after winning tough games against Newcastle and Manchester United.
