Tolu Arokodare nets eight goal of the season for KRC Genk

Tolu Arokodare played a major role for KRC Genk in sealing a comprehensive 3-1 victory over RWDM in the Belgian Pro League.
The coach Wouter Vrancken tutored side came from a goal down to earn their first win in 2024.
RWDM took advantage of the Smurfs slow start to bang in the lead in the second minute through Carlos Alberto.
Genk restored parity through a fantastic header from Arokodare in the 21st minute.
Luca Oyen powerful strike off a El Khannouss assist gave the Smurfs their deserved lead in the encounter on the 35th minute.
Andi Zeqiri smashed home the winner for Genk at the dearth of the game to seal a 3-1 win for the home side.
Arokodare who was on till the 63rd minute now has eight goals and two assists in the Belgian Pro League this season.
Genk first win of the year will be a subtle relief for the club’s fans who have decided to boycott matches due to unconvincing results.
The Smurfs now have 40 points from 26 matches and will square up against Charleroi in their next game on Friday, February 23 at the Stade du Pays de Charleroi.
