Atletico Madrid celebrates Rasheedat Ajibade on centenary appearance in Spain

Atletico Madrid have celebrated their influential forward, Rasheedat Ajibade on her 100th appearance at the club.
The Nigeria midfielder was in action against Barcelona to mark her centenary game for the Rojiblacos.
In a statement on the club’s website, the Spanish outfit heaped praises on Ajibade for her impact since arriving at the club at the age of 21 from Norwegian outfit Avaldsnes.
The Super Falcons captain made her debut for Atletico Madrid on January 6, 2021 against Rayo Vallecano and has continued to shone like a million stars in colours of the Spanish capital club.
“Rasheedat Ajibade landed at Atlético de Madrid Femenino on January 1, 2021 from Avaldnes IL at the age of 21. After four seasons defending the red and white jersey, she reached one hundred matches defending our colors this Sunday in Barcelona,” the club wrote.
“Ajibade made his debut on January 6, 2021 in the match against Rayo Vallecano, jumping onto the field in the final minutes of the match.
“During her stay at Atlético de Madrid, the attacker has participated in the achievement of two titles, the Spanish Super Cup in 2021 and the Copa de la Reina in 2023.”
Ajibade has found the back of the net four times in 18 matches this season with three assists.
