Toni Payne bags assist as Sevilla share the spoils with Levante Las Planas

Nigeria forward, Toni Payne continued her impressive form with an assist as her Spanish Liga F side, Sevilla played out a 1-1 draw with Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene’s Las Planas.

Las Planas has not won any of its previous six league games while Sevilla lost one of its last five games.

The visitors opened the scoring with an early goal in the fifth minute with Payne setting up Martin-Prieto Gutierrez who converted the first goal of the match.

Payne lasted the duration of the match as she provided her fourth assist of the season in 21 games for Sevilla.

Her compatriots, Okobi saw 62 minutes before she was replaced by Paz Vilas Dono, while Rita Chikwelu replaced Morocco’s Yasmin Katie Mrabet in the 67th minute.

The result ensured that Sevilla occupy the seventh position with 27 points after 21 games.

Las Planas are in the 11th position with 18 points, three points, and four places above the relegation zone.
