Transfer Update: Napoli relentless in pursuit of Ademola Lookman

By Wale Mustapha

Napoli manager Antonio Conte remains determined to bring Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona as the club pushes to strengthen its attacking options ahead of the new season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Serie A rivals Atalanta are open to selling Lookman, but only if their €50 million valuation is met.

The 26-year-old winger has also attracted strong interest from Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal, making the transfer race increasingly competitive.

Conte sees Lookman as a key piece in his tactical rebuild, with Napoli aiming to build on last season’s Scudetto-winning campaign and return to dominance in both domestic and European competitions.

Lookman joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022 and has since evolved into one of Serie A’s most dangerous forwards, blending pace, flair, and a keen eye for goal.

With Napoli not backing down and the player’s future hanging in the balance, the coming weeks could prove decisive in one of this summer’s high-profile transfer sagas.
