Turkish journalist Muhammet Duman has expressed admiration for the profound influence Victor Osimhen has had on Galatasaray fans, following his brace in the club’s thrilling 3-2 win over Samsunspor on Sunday afternoon.

The Nigerian international, who joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli during the summer, has quickly become a fan favorite due to his remarkable goal-scoring form.

The 25-year-old striker ignited the crowd in the third minute with a powerful header to give his side the lead, and then repeated the feat in the second half to restore Galatasaray’s advantage after the visitors equalized in the 50th minute.

After the game, Hurriyet Newspaper’s Spor Arena writer, Duman, revealed that Galatasaray fans have been flooding the club’s social media platforms with messages urging for the permanent signing of the reigning African Player of the Year.

In his over two decades of following the club, Duman claimed he had never witnessed such fervor, attributing it all to Osimhen’s magnetic impact.

“Galatasaray fans are going crazy for Victor Osimhen,” Duman said. “Every day, there are campaigns on social media, with fans pushing for Osimhen to stay with the club for many more years.”

He continued: “Osimhen is fully aware of this incredible love from the fans, and it’s clear that the support he receives from them gives him an extra boost on the pitch.”
