U17 AFCON: NFF President Ibrahim Gusau charges Golden Eaglets to beat Morocco

President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau has urged the Nigeria U17 team to go for victory against Morocco in their second encounter at the ongoing U17 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Golden Eaglets got their way at the tournament to a flying start after dispatching Zambia 1-0 in Algeria.
Ahead of Morocco showdown, Gusau congratulated Nduka Ugbade’s side for the win over the Zambians, while warned them against complacency, stressing the importance of an early passage to the knockout stage.
“Let me start by congratulating you on your victory over Zambia on Sunday. It was a tough game but your quality showed in your ability to pick the three points,” the NFF president told the Eaglets at their camp in Constantine.
“However, nothing has been won yet. You must go all out against Morocco to achieve victory and bounce back to the top of the group.
“It is important to assure of your qualification to the knock-out rounds early so that you avoid all kinds of permutations before the last match of the group phase.
“Nigerians are watching and supporting you in scores of millions and you cannot afford to disappoint our people.”
The Eaglets will battle Morocco in a decisive game and a victory for the Nigeria side will see them qualify to the next round.
