U20 AFCON: Nigeria to face Uganda in mouthwatering quarterfinal tie

Nigeria will face Uganda U20 side in the quarter final of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations at the Suez Canal Stadium, Ismailia in Egypt.
The Flying Eagles had a successful group A outing as they claimed six points to advance to the quarter-final after an opening 1-0 loss to Senegal, before a 1-0 victory over Egypt and a 2-0 triumph over Mozambique.
The Ugandan U20 side sealed a quarter final place with a win, two draws and a defeat to accumulate five points in three matches.
Ladan Bosso’s side will be banking on their recent form to secure a place in the final-four of the tournament as they face a tricky test against the Ugandans.
A win against the Ugandans will see the Nigeria side seal a berth in the semifinal which is the prize for qualification to the U20 FIFA World Cup.
The Nigerians are the most successful team in the history of the U20 AFCON by winning the tournament seven times and have a record of 11 appearances in the U20 FIFA World Cup as they made their debut in 1991.
