UCL: Giovanni Lorenzo banks on Victor Osimhen to eliminate Barcelona

Napoli captain, Giovanni Di Lorenzo is banking on the influence of star forward, Victor Osimhen to eliminate Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League.

Nigeria forward, Osimhen made a scoring return for the Partenopei to cancel out Robert Lewandowski opener for Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

Lorenzo describes Osimhen as a champion who returned to club duties to secure a point for Napoli in the Champions League.

“Osimhen is a champion and he returned with the right mindset,” Lorenzo was quoted by Complete Sports

“He will give us a hand, just as Simeone and Raspadori will, now the coach has a lot of options to choose from.”

Lewandowski sends in a low shot to give Barcelona the lead in the second half before Osimhen pounced on a pass from Zambo Anguissa to equalize for the Partenopei.

The return leg have been scheduled for March 12 at the Nou Camp.
