Maresca confirms Wilfred Ndidi out of Leicester City’s clash with Leeds United

Wilfred Ndidi's Recovery from Injury on Track, Eagles Doctor Remains Positive

Leicester City manager, Enzo Maresca has lamented Wildred Ndidi’s unavailability for their Sky Bet Championship clash with Leeds United at Elland Road on Friday.

The Foxes are aiming for decent result against the Londoners to maintain their firm grip at the top table.

Maresca side are currently leading the table with points and are not resting on increasing the gap from their closest challengers.

With Leeds’ current form and quest to close in on Leicester City, Maresca felt the need to have Ndidi as his experience will come in handy.

“The only one at the moment is Wilf. He is still injured. One of our best players, or best position, is Wilf. When he’s not there, we used Cesare.

“Now they’re not there so we try to adapt. Unfortunately Wilf is still injured, Maresca told the club’s official website.

Meanwhile, Ndidi’s team mates from Nigeria, Kelechi Iheanacho is in contention to make his return to action against Leeds United.

The Super Eagles’ winger has not feature for the Foxes since he returned from African Cup of Nations, AFCON tournament with Nigeria.
