Uguchukwu Iwu opens goal account in Urartu victory over Yusuf Otubanjo’s Pyunik

Nigeria midfielder, Uguchukwu Iwu scored his first league goal of the season for Armenia Premier League side, Urartu as his team defeated Pyunik Yerevan 3-0.
Serbian defender, Aleksandar Miljkovic was sent off in the 31st minute which made the game dicey for the host at the Republican Stadium, Yerevan.
Brazilian midfielder, Marcos Junior made the numerical advantage count in the 63rd minute as he scored the first goal of the game for Urartu.
Uguchukwu doubled his side’s lead with six minutes to the end of the game for his first league goal of the season.
In the 90th minute, Ukrainian forward, Dmytro Khlyobas scored Urartu’s third goal.
Iwu played for the duration of the match and received a yellow card in the 51st minute before opening his account for the league leaders.
His compatriot, Yusuf Otubanjo replaced Bosnian forward, Luka Juricic in the 23rd minute as he couldn’t add to his four goals in 13 league games.
Urartu top the Armenia Premier League table with 47 points after 20 games, four points ahead of Ararat Armenia.
Pyunik Yerevan occupy the third position with 34 points after 19 games.
The team will next face Van on February 24, 2023, while Urartu welcomes Van on March 1, 2023.
