UWCL: Boost for Barcelona as Asisat Oshoala return for Chelsea semi-final clash

Nigeria international Asisat Oshoala has been named in Barcelona’s squad for their UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final first-leg clash against Chelsea amidst an injury scare.
The 28-year-old featured for the Super Falcons in the international friendlies against Haiti and New Zealand a fortnight ago but missed her side’s Spanish Liga F clash against Atletico Madrid due to injury recently.
However, the Spanish club confirmed via its official Twitter handle that the forward has been passed fit for the game.
The Nigerian forward has been on impressive form for Barcelona this season, scoring 19 goals in 23 league games and helping the Spanish champions reach the semifinals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
It is a huge boost for Barcelona who defeated Chelsea in the final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League in 2021.
