Victor Moses Celebrates Milestone 200th EPL Appearance with Birthday Victory

In a remarkable testament to his enduring presence on the English Premier League (EPL) stage, Chelsea’s seasoned Nigerian wing-back, Victor Moses, marked his 200th appearance with a commendable win on his 27th birthday. The 3-1 triumph over Huddersfield Town at the John Smith Stadium on Tuesday underscored Moses’ significance in the league.
The 27-year-old international, who has graced the EPL with his talents at Crystal Palace, Wigan, Chelsea, Stoke City, Liverpool, and West Ham, displayed his prowess in his 10th appearance for Chelsea in the 2017/18 season. Having made his debut against Sunderland on February 6, 2010, Moses has contributed to Chelsea’s success with a total of 67 EPL appearances for the club.
This milestone places Moses in an elite league of Nigerian players, becoming the seventh to achieve such a feat. Joining the ranks of Shola Ameobi (298 games), Nwankwo Kanu (273 games), Yakubu Aiyegbeni (252 games), John Obi Mikel (249), Joseph Yobo (228), and Victor Anichebe (204), Moses stands as a testament to Nigerian football prowess in the EPL.
In the wake of Chelsea’s victory over Huddersfield Town, Moses took to his official Twitter handle @VictorMoses to express his gratitude and commend his teammates for their character in bouncing back from their recent defeat to West Ham. He tweeted, “Great character from the lads to bounce back tonight! Big win! Honoured to have made my 200th Premier League. Looking ahead, Chelsea is set to face Southampton at Stamford Bridge in their next fixture on Saturday, with Moses undoubtedly poised to continue leaving an indelible mark on the EPL.
