Victor Osimhen arrives Nigeria for Guinea-Bissau battle, seals endorsement deal

Handlers of Nigeria’s senior national team have heap a sigh of relief following the news of Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen’s arrival to the country ahead of their double header 2023 African Cup of Nations, AFCON qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau.

Reports earlier claimed that the Napoli forward could miss the games as the Italian Serie A club had insisted on running scan on him to confirm his availability.

However, the former Lille striker has been confirmed to arrive Lagos, Nigeria where he signed a multi-million naira endorsement deal with a brand in the early hours of Tuesday before joining the camp in the evening.

“They were some issues but it’s sorted. He is in Lagos now on permission from head coach Jose Peseiro,” source told OGN.

“All things being equal he will be in training this evening, the reason for his stop over in Lagos is to seal an endorsement deal. So no shaking.”
