By Monsurah Olatunji

Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen delivered a clinical hat-trick as Galatasaray cruised to a dominant 4-0 win over Antalyaspor in the Turkish Süper Lig on Friday night, further cementing his status as the league’s top scorer.

The 26-year-old striker opened the scoring in the 30th minute, finishing off a well-weighted assist from Álvaro Morata. Just before halftime, in the 45th minute, Osimhen doubled his tally with a strike in injury time, assisted by B. Yılmaz.

The Nigerian international completed his hat-trick in the 52nd minute, converting a pass from Y. Akgün to cap off a stellar individual performance.

Álvaro Morata also added to the scoreline, converting a penalty in the 45th minute to seal the victory for Okan Buruk’s side.

Osimhen’s hat-trick brought his league goal tally to 20 in 22 appearances, maintaining his position at the top of the Turkish Süper Lig’s scoring charts.

Since joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli after the fourth game of the season, Osimhen has made an immediate impact, notching 26 goals and providing five assists across all competitions in 30 appearances.

The performance has bolstered Osimhen’s reputation as one of Europe’s most lethal strikers.

After being substituted in the 68th minute, Osimhen left the field with his team in full control, as his star continues to rise.

As the World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe approach, Osimhen’s current form will be a key asset for Nigeria, making him a player to watch in the upcoming international fixtures.
