Hat-trick hero Victor Osimhen shoots to top of Turkish Super Lig scorers’ chart

Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has surged to the top of the Turkish Super Lig scorers’ chart after netting his first hat-trick in the league against Antalyaspor.

The Nigerian striker, who now plays for Galatasaray, has reached 20 goals in the league, a form that is sure to bolster the Super Eagles’ prospects in the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Osimhen opened the scoring in the 30th minute, then added two more goals in the 45+2′ and 52′ minutes to complete his remarkable hat-trick.

His performance was a key factor in Galatasaray’s dominant victory, which has seen them move 10 points clear of second-place Fenerbahçe, who still have two games in hand.

Osimhen’s impressive form further cements his reputation as a clinical goal-scorer, a feat that earned him the Golden Boot in Serie A three seasons ago.

His current goal-scoring run in Turkey only adds to his growing stature, making him a vital asset for both his club and the Super Eagles.
