WAFCON 2024: Super Falcons jersey numbers unveiled ahead of opener

As Nigeria’s seniors women’s national team prepare to get their 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) campaign this weekend, the jersey numbers for each players is now known.

Experienced goalkeeper, Tochukwu Oluehi will put on jersey number one while other save hands, Chiamaka Nnadozie and Racheal Unachukwu will wear number 16 and 23 respectively.

Record African women’s player of the year, Asisat Oshoala retained her number 8.

Rinsola Babajide, Osinachi Ohale, Shukurat Oladipo, and Ashleigh Plumptre are expected to done jersey numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5 accordingly.

Debutants, Isah Sikiratu, Jennifer Echegini, Deborah Abiodun, Tosin Demehin, Folashade Ijamilusi, Miracle Usani, and Chioma Okafor got numbers 11, 12, 13, 14, 20, 21, and 24.

The nine time African champions will start their campaign against Tunisia this weekend.

This will be followed by games with Algeria an Botswana.
