Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens FC continued their flawless run at the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU B Qualifiers, defeating Benin Republic’s Sam Nelly FC 4-1 in Yamoussoukro to secure maximum points from three group-stage matches.

The Prosperity Ladies made their intentions clear early on, with Seimeyeha Akekoromowei opening the scoring in the 14th minute.

Shakirat Moshood doubled the advantage in the 35th minute before Sam Nelly’s Kalu Favour pulled one back just before halftime (44’).

Bayelsa Queens regained full control after the break, as Alaba Olabiyi extended the lead in the 55th minute.

Akekoromowei sealed the victory four minutes later with her second of the match (59’), capping a commanding performance.

The result means Bayelsa Queens finish the Group B with three wins out of three, amassing nine points and underlining their status as serious contenders for qualification to the CAF Women’s Champions League finals.
