The Nigeria National League (NNL) has announced the eight clubs that will compete in the 2025 NNL Super 8 tournament, where promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and the NNL25 Championship title will be at stake.
The qualified teams represent the top performers from the league’s Northern and Southern Conferences. From the North, Yobe Desert Stars, Wikki Tourists, Doma United, and Barau FC secured qualification.
They will be joined by Kun Khalifa FC, Warri Wolves, Crown FC, and Osun United from the Southern Conference.
The Super 8 tournament, scheduled to kick off in the coming weeks, will see the top two teams from each conference promoted to the NPFL. The winners of both groups will also face off in the final to determine the NNL25 Champion.
The tournament has become a key fixture in Nigeria’s football calendar, providing a pathway to the top tier for ambitious clubs and an opportunity for emerging talent to shine.
This year’s edition is expected to deliver high-stakes, competitive football as clubs aim to secure promotion and national recognition.
Clubs have ramped up preparations ahead of the tournament, with several making tactical adjustments and squad reinforcements in anticipation of the high-level competition.
An official date and venue for the tournament are expected to be announced soon by NNL authorities.
