Warri Wolves crowned NNL champions

Warri Wolves have clinched the 2024/25 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight title.

The host of the tournament beat Wikki Tourists 3–2 at Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba to lift the Super Eight trophy.

They had already sealed promotion to the NPFL by topping Group B in the playoff series — notably with a 2–1 win over Crown FC on July 10, 2025 .

This victory marks their return to the NPFL after three seasons in the second tier; their last Premier League appearance was in 2021 .

It’s a triumphant return for the “Seasiders” — combining promotion with the league trophy.

Notably, Beyond Limits Football Academy won the title at the end of 2023/24 season but couldn’t participate in the top flight due to dual ownership of the club alongside Remo Stars which won the NPFL last season.

Heartland FC took their slot.

Overall, Wikki Tourist, Warri Wolves, Khun Khalifat FC, and Barau FC gained promotion to the top flight at the end of the Playoffs.
