“We didn’t come out well” — Adegun laments Plateau United’s loss to Ikorodu City

By Wale Mustapha

Plateau United Technical Adviser, Oluwasola Adegun, has expressed disappointment following his side’s 2–1 defeat to Ikorodu City in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 13 clash on Sunday in Lagos.

The Peace Boys fell behind to goals from Joseph Arumala and Alade Balogun, while Wisdom Ndom scored Plateau United’s only goal of the game.

Adegun said the team failed to sustain their first-half performance and ultimately paid the price for a poor start to the second half.

“Not fully satisfied because in the first half we showed the character that we wanted to see, but we didn’t come out well in the second half,” Adegun told the club’s media.

“In the first ten minutes of the second half, we let the game slip away.”

The defeat leaves Plateau United in 15th place on the NPFL table with 15 points.

They will face Rivers United next at the new Jos Stadium on Sunday.
