Wikki Tourists FC came from behind to defeat El Kanemi Warriors FC 2–1 in their Matchday 29 encounter of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) played in Bauchi on Saturday.
The visitors started the game brightly and stunned the home crowd early when Daddy Abdulrahman fired El Kanemi Warriors into the lead in the second minute.
Wikki Tourists gradually settled into the contest and pushed hard for an equaliser before the break. Their persistence eventually paid off deep into first-half stoppage time when Klinkshak Longback found the back of the net in the 45+1 minute to restore parity.
The Bauchi-based side returned from the interval with renewed determination and completed the comeback in the 52nd minute through Imamu Bala, whose strike secured all three points for the hosts.
The victory provides a valuable boost for Wikki Tourists as the league campaign enters a crucial stage.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Matchday 29 fixtures in the NPFL are scheduled to be played on Sunday.
