Wilfred Ndidi assists Kelechi Iheanacho to score in Leicester City win over Preston

The Nigerian duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho were once again at their best on Wednesday night helping Leicester City brighten their chances of quick return to English Premier League following their commanding 3-0 home win over Preston North End.
The encounter decided at the King’s Power Stadium saw the Foxes producing another blistering display under Enzo Fonseca making look more sure of promotion to the English top flight.
Leicester dominated the opening moments of the match but struggled to translate that dominance on the ball into clear-cut chances.
Preston could have taken a shock lead at half time but Duane Holmes saw his effort denied by Leicester keeper, Mads Hermansen.
Leicester were able to find their rhythm moments after the break and took the lead through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who pounced on a lose ball in the box.
Super Eagles’ winger, Kelechi Iheanacho doubled the lead for the Foxes moments later as he arrived on time and in right place to make a simple tap in from Ndidi’s well tailored cross.
It was Iheanacho’s second of the season just as the provision notched up Ndidi’d assist to four in the English Championship.
The hosts added gloss to their performance with a late goal when Dewsbury Hall notched his second of the day.
The victory has however seen Leicester retaining their spot on the log and also registered their ninth wins in 10 games of the season
