Notably, former PFA Player of the Year, Riyad Mahrez, claims the 71st spot in this distinguished list. Vardy, while absent from the Sky Sports lineup, secures the 96th position in The Guardian’s comprehensive review of the year. This detailed analysis, conducted by a panel of 169 experts from 63 countries and overseen by 27 former internationals, including legends Ronaldo and Hernán Crespo, adds an extra layer of significance to Vardy’s accomplishment. It is noteworthy that Vardy had previously held the 19th spot in 2016.
