Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi scored a goal to help English Championship leaders, Leicester City to a 5-0 bashing of Joe Aribo’s Southampton on Tuesday.
The Foxes took the lead in the 25th minute. Dewsbury-Hall threaded a sublime ball through for Issahaku Fatawu who took a touch and slotted his finish into the bottom corner.
The host doubled their lead on the hour mark. Mavididi picked up the ball on the left flank and floated a cross into the box, which Ndidi headed home.
Southampton’s heads visibly dropped, with their belief and energy-draining, and Leicester capitalised, adding a third goal in the 75th minute.
Hamza Choudhury played the ball wide to Fatawu on the right, and the Ghanaian drifted inside before unleashing a pinpoint shot into the far corner.
Jamie Vardy then got in on the act four minutes later netting a clinical finish after being picked out by Fatawu.
Leicester added further salt to the wounds shortly when Ghanaian Fatawu sealed his hat-trick.
Ndidi saw 82 minutes of action before he was replaced by Denni Praet. He has scored four goals with five assists after 30 league games this season.
His compatriot Joe Aribo came off for Jack Stephens in the 83rd minute for Southampton while Kelechi Iheanacho was not dressed for Leicester.
The Foxes sit atop the second-tier English Championship table with 94 points, four points ahead of Leeds United.
