Zaidu Sanusi suffers injury on club return after Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria

Nigeria international, Zaidu Sanusi has suffered an injury on his return to club duties after the 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) duties following in action for Porto in a 2-0 win against Estrela Amadora in the Portuguese league.
The Super Eagles left back was taken off the pitch in the 37th minute and was replaced by Jorge Sanchez.
The extent of the injury on Sanusi haven’t been reported by the club but he may have a lengthy time off the pitch.
He missed some matches at the 2023 AFCON due to injuries and he’s set for the treatment table at his club.
Sanusi have just managed five appearances this season at club level with one goal scored.
He was on sidelines for three months in the first half of the season for the Dragons and has struggled to maintain match fitness.
Porto have 48 points from 22 matches and trail league leaders Benfica by four points.
The Dragons will face Arsenal in their next game in the first leg of the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League with the first leg coming up in Portugal.
