2023 African Games: Falconets and Flying Eagles get opponents

Ahead of the football events of the 2023 African Games taking place in Ghana, the Nigeria U20 women’s and men’s national teams have now confirmed their group stage their opponents.

In the women’s football category, defending champions Falconets will face Senegal, Cameroon, and Ethiopia in Group B. The pairing rekindle the rivalry between Nigeria and Cameroon in football across board.

In Group A, hosts Ghana will trade tackles with Tanzania, Uganda, and Ethiopia.

In the men’s category, the Flying Eagles will play four group games after being drawn in Group B comprising five teams. They will meet South Sudan, Senegal, Uganda, and Tunisia in Group B.

Hosts Ghana U-20 team is drawn in Group A to face Gambia, Benin Republic, and Congo.

The 2023 African Games is billed to take place from March 8 to 21, 2024, in Accra, the capital city of Ghana.
