2023 NBSL MD3 Wrap: Kebbi BSC outshine Kada Stars as Kebbi United maintain fine run

The First Round of the 2023 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) was concluded on Monday with the clash between the past two winners, Kebbi BSC and Kada BSC.
Going into the final encounter, Kebbi BSC won the maiden NBSL while Kada BSC dethroned them in 2022.
The highly technical match ended 1-1 after the first period with Clement Egunjimi’s equalizer for Kada BSC after Fuad Badmus had given Kebbi BSC the lead.
The second period didn’t produce any goals but 2021 Champions, Kebbi BSC paid back Kada BSC in their coins as Fuad Badmus scored two goals in the third period to seal a 3-1 win.
The second Kebbi side, Kebbi United made it three wins from three games with an 8-3 victory against Ibom BSC.
The team won two of three periods 2-0, 5-1, 1-2 to seal an 8-3 win with Hamza Manga’s three goals.
Nmanko Patigi BSC returned to winning ways after the previous day’s loss to Kebbi BSC.
The Ilorin-based side defeated Smart City BSC 6-4 with Jamiu Kunle scoring three goals.
Kebbi BSC top the round-robin group at the end of Round 1 with a maximum of nine points ahead of Kebbi United BSC (8 points), Nmanko Patigi BSC (6 points), Kada BSC (3 points), Smart City (0 points), and Ibom BSC (0 points).
