2024 WAFU-B U-17 Girls Cup: Flamingos qualify for semi-final after Cote D’Ivoire thrash Niger

Nigeria U-17 national team and their counterparts from Cote D’Ivoire on Saturday.

The Ivorians 5-0 thrashing of Niger Republic ensured that they made it to the last four alongside Nigeria which also decimated Niger 9-0.

Adjoua Rolande N’Guessan scored three goals to propel Cote d’Ivoire to a comprehensive victory.

Zea Alimatou Kone and Awa Ambeu scored the other goals.

The last group game between Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire on December 16 will determine Group B winners.

Group B winners will face Benin Republic, while the runners-up will trade tackles with host Ghana in the semi-final.

Ghana beat Benin Republic twice (4-1 and 3-2 respectively) to top Group A.

Burkina Faso withdrew from the tournament leaving Group A with two groups.
