AFCON 2023: Joseph Yobo lauds Ademola Lookman partnership with Victor Osimhen

Former Nigeria international, Joseph Yobo has commended the understanding and partnership between Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen in the 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
Both players painted the Italian Serie A with goals last season with their respective club sides and have reignited a great understanding that led to the first goal against Cameroon in the round of 16.
Yobo said he’s delighted with Lookman’s performance and contributions in the AFCON including his match winning goals in critical moments of the game.
The former international praised the Atalanta forward combination with Osimhen in the Eagles attack which have yielded positive outcomes.
“I am happy for Lookman at this tournament because he has been getting us the goals,” Yobo was quoted by Afro Sport.
“This is his third goal in AFCON and I love the way he handled each game. His combination with Osimhen, has been great.”
Nigeria will travel to the Ivorian city of Bouake for their semifinal clash against the winner between South Africa and Cape Verde.
