William Troost-Ekong pens heartfelt message to fans

William Troost-Ekong has penned heartfelt message to the Nigerian fans following the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

His bruising tackles, vocality from defence, goal scoring heroics saw him emerge as the Man of The Tournament in Ivory Coast

The on-field captain scored a powerful header in the final as Nigeria lost 2-1 to Cote d’Ivoire.

Troost-Ekong is the highest-scoring defender in the competition, scoring three goals as Nigeria made the AFCON final for the first time since 2013.

The defender also became the second Nigerian defender after Christian Chukwu to win the prestigious Man of The Tournament award.

The Nigerian defender showed great leadership, resilience, and defensive prowess, which played a pivotal role in guiding the Super Eagles to the final.
