Former Napoli star thumps up Osimhen on Galatasaray move

Lorenzo Insigne has praised Victor Osimhen for his move to Galatasaray from Napoli, expressing surprise but also confidence in the decision.
The Nigerian striker joined the Turkish giants on a season-long loan deal, and Insigne believes it’s a smart choice for Osimhen’s career.
Reflecting on the transfer, Insigne remarked, “I didn’t expect it. Victor is smart, and I’m sure he made his own choices.”
While acknowledging any controversies surrounding the move, he emphasized that Osimhen will thrive in Turkey, especially with his former Napoli teammate Dries Mertens by his side.
“I’m happy for him, especially because he’ll play with Mertens. I can see that they have fun together.”
Osimhen is set to make his debut in the highly anticipated Istanbul derby against Fenerbahçe on Saturday, September 21.
