Christy Ucheibe scores first goal of 2025 to lift SL Benfica into Taça da Liga semifinals

Nigeria midfielder, Chrisy Ucheibe opened her goals account in 2025 to help Portuguese champions, SL Benfica to a 3-0 win over Maritimo in the Taça da Liga quarter final return leg.

The first leg ended 2-0 in Benfica.

Laura Martins opened scoring for the visitors in the ninth minute.

Ucheibe doubled the lead for the league champions in the 15th minute.

In the 44th minute, Joana Silva made it 3-0 to complete a 5-0 aggregate victory.

SL Benfica with the win qualified for the Taça da Liga semifinals.

They will face either Torrense, Sporting CP, or Damaiense in the last four.

Torreense, Sporing CP, and Damaiense saw off Racing Power, Valadares, and Braga in the quarter final.
