Ahmed Musa Seals Comeback for Kano Pillars as Rangers Reclaim Top Spot

Ahmed Musa scored the winning goal as Kano Pillars rallied to a 2-1 victory over Rivers United at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday. Abdullahi Musa had put Rivers United ahead in the 81st minute, but Pillars responded with goals from Handsome Surveyor and Musa to complete the comeback.

In other action, Rangers moved back to the top of the league table after defeating Enyimba 2-1 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu. Wonah Williams gave Enyimba the lead shortly after halftime, but Chidozie Iwundu equalized in the 61st minute, with Ifeanyi Onyebuchi scoring the decisive goal seven minutes later.

Holders Remo Stars boosted their survival hopes with a 3-0 home win over Niger Tornadoes, thanks to goals from Victor Mbaoma, Olamilekan Adedayo, and Samuel Anakwe. Nasarawa United also dominated at home, thrashing Warri Wolves 3-0 at the Lafia City Stadium with strikes from Victor Chimezie, Ngei Oluka-Efor, and Habibu Alakija.

Kwara United secured a vital 2-1 victory over Barau FC, with Toheeb Gidado and Saheed Olaniyi scoring in the first half, before Joseph Atule reduced the deficit for the visitors. Shooting Stars claimed a 2-1 win against El-kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri, with Qamar Adegoke netting the equalizer and decisive goal for the visitors.

Finally, Wikki Tourists recorded an away win against Bendel Insurance, coming from behind to secure a 2-1 victory. Emmanuel Dung had given Insurance an early lead, with Jonathan Mairiga and Efe Ubiomo responding for Wikki.
