NPFL: Ladan Bosso targets continental football for Bayelsa United

By Wale Mustapha

Bayelsa United head coach, Ladan Bosso, has outlined a clear path for the team to secure a continental berth for next season.

Currently sitting in the bottom half of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table with 37 points from 29 matches, Bosso is optimistic about his team’s chances.

He believes that a strong finish to the season, coupled with a successful run in the 2025 President Federation Cup, could see the Prosperity Boys earn a continental ticket.

“We still have a chance. If we can secure maximum points from our remaining home matches, there is every likelihood we’ll qualify for continental football, and even challenge for the league title,” Bosso told Completesports.

“And if we can get something from the President Federation Cup, that will also be a great boost for us.”

Bayelsa United will next face Osun United in the Round of 64 of the Federation Cup on Wednesday, aiming to advance and keep their hopes alive for continental football next season.
