Stanley Nwabali set for Chippa United departure

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Chippa United will likely sell Stanley Nwabali after this season.

Kickoff suggests Chippa United want to strengthen their team this summer.

Selling Nwabali will help them reach this goal.

The Chilli Boys have reportedly identified two goalkeepers to replace the Nigerian international.

Nwabali, aged 28, came to Chippa United from Katsina United of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) three years ago.

Nwabali is currently considered one of the best goalkeepers in the South African League.

After his strong performances for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire, a transfer was rumoured last summer. Nigeria finished second in the tournament.

Instead, he signed a new three-year contract. He was also appointed captain of Chippa United.
