2025 NBSL MD 2 Wrap: Kada Stars record historic victory, Kebbi Fishers start title defence with win

Kada BSC made history on Matchday two of the 2025 Nigeria Beach Soccer League. They achieved a first as Kebbi Fishers began their title defence strongly. Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors also secured a win in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.
Kada BSC became the first team to have outfield players score after two league matches. This happened in their dominant 7-0 victory over Niger BSC. Dozie Frank scored three goals, adding to his earlier two, for a comfortable win. Hameed Oladele, Tanko Emmanuel, Bawa Benjamin, and Sani Jibrin also scored. Eight Kada BSC outfield players have now scored in the league, a historic first. The team has scored the most goals after two games with 17 in total. They are also the only team yet to concede a goal.
Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors beat Nmanko Patigi BSC 7-5, securing their second win. Emeka Ogbonna scored three goals. Stanley Ekwo scored twice, while Segun Basorun and Chinonso Marcel each scored once. Agemo Samuel scored four goals for Nmanko Patigi BSC, but it was not enough. Taiwo Bashir also scored for the Kwara team.
Defending champions Kebbi Fishers won 9-3 against Ibom BSC in the last game. Hassan Abdullahi and Badmus Fuad each scored two goals. Ekene Obi, Hamza Manga, Hassan Muhammad, and Jibrin Yahya each added one. Efiong Eyo, Aniekan Edet, and Uyime Harry scored for Ibom BSC, but could not stop the champions.
Dozie Frank of Kada BSC said he was happy to be named man of the match again. He said the team always tries to do their best. They used experience and strength in the third period to win. He added that the award was for the whole team. He noted anyone can score and they aimed not to concede.
Nmanko Patigi BSC’s Agemo Samuel said he always tries his best to score. He was happy to win man of the match and get a gift. He hopes to keep scoring in future games.
Kebbi Fishers’ Badmus Fuad thanked the organisers and his team. He said it was a team effort. They need to keep working hard to stay at the top, he added.
