By Oluwadamilola Olaleye

Crystal Palace have completed the transfer of Nigeria forward Christantus Uche from Getafe, beating out the transfer deadline window to seal a move for the Nigeria attacking sensation.
Uche has completed a one-year loan move to South London following breakdown in move to Wolves, where he will wear the number 12 shirt for the Eagles.

“I’m delighted to welcome Christantus to the club – an exciting young talent, who is also a full international,” club chairman Steve Parish stated.

“Christantus has already shown his capability during his time in Spain and everyone at the club is looking forward to seeing him thrive in South London.”

Uche said: “This moment is unbelievable. I’m very lucky to be here today and this club is a big opportunity for me.”

At just 22, he already boasts senior international experience and arrives on the back of an impressive debut campaign in La Liga.
His European journey began in 2022 with Spanish fifth-division side Moralo CP, before his talent earned him a move to third-tier AD Ceuta FC.
A year later, he signed for Getafe, where during the 2024/25 season he featured 38 times across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing seven assists.

Now set for the next step in his career, Uche becomes the club’s fifth addition of the summer and would be available for selection barring international clearance after the international break.
