U20 Afcon: Flying Eagles hit six past Deluxe in a friendly

Nigeria U20 men’s national team pummeled Deluxe by 6-0 in one of their preparatory games on Friday in Abuja.
The Flying Eagles continued their build up for the TotalEnergies U20 Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Egypt next month. Both teams made enterprising starts to the encounter played but could not convert their scoring chances at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch in Abuja.
Coach Ladan Bosso tweaked his Flying Eagles side on resumption as it paid off quickly for the team as captain Ibrahim Yahaya drew the first blood within two minutes of restart.
Forward Haliru Seriki was classy in doubling the lead three minutes later and Adams Olamilekan make it 3-0 for the U20 boys with a brilliant finish three minutes after the hour mark.
Seriki added the fourth, his second of the game and Emmanuel Ochegbu contributed a brace to round up a convincing win for the Egypt bound team.
The TotalEnergies U20 Africa Cup of Nations will take place between 19th February and 11th March 2023 in three notable cities of Egypt; Cairo, Ismaillia and Alexandria.
The 12-nation tournament will begin with a mouth-watering opening game between hosts Egypt and Mozambique on Sunday 19 February 2023 at 4pm local time.
