Afcon 2023 Qualifier: Nigeria to play Guinea-Bissau in Morocco

Nigeria will take on Guinea-Bissau on their adopted ground in Morocco in the 2023 African Cup of Nations, AFCON qualifying match, the Confederation of Africa Football, CAF has confirmed.

NigeriaFootball.ng understands CAF approved Morocco for Guinea-Bissau for the Matchday Three qualifying encounter after rejecting their home grounds, Estadio 24 de Setembro and Estadio Lino Correia for the qualifiers.

It was also scooped from the West African country that the Guinea Bissau Football Federation have been granted permission by their Moroccan counterpart to host their home games in country.

The Djurtus will host the Super Eagles in the first leg on Thursday, March 23 with the reverse fixture taking place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja four days later.

Guinea-Bissau are second in Group B with four points from two games. The Super Eagles won their opening two fixtures against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe setting them up at group leaders.
