Alex Iwobi’s father offers updates on son’s latest injury at Manchester United

Everton have received a morale boosting news as regards injury of their best midfielder in the current campaign, Alex Iwobi.

Iwobi was stretchered off in the second half of Everton’s 3-1 FA Cup defeat at Manchester United on Friday night.

The Super Eagles star was expected to stay longer on the sideline due to initial assessment on the injury.

However, Iwobi’s father has disclosed that the knock is not as serious as earlier thought.

Mr. Chuka “Mahella” Iwobi, has claimed that his son will recover from the ankle injury in a couple of weeks.

“Results of the scan are now out. It’s not as bad as previously thought – Alex will be out for approx 2 weeks. Thanks for all your support. Chuka” he wrote.

Iwobi is expected to be out of action with Everton when they host Southampton and their subsequent fixture against West Ham at the London Stadium.
