Anam Imo wins North Star award after 15-goal feat for Pitea

Nigeria forward, Anam Imo have emerged as the winner of the 2023 North Star Award.

Her Swedish club, Pitea confirmed this on their Instagram page on Thursday, with the award which was presented by NSD, Couriem rewards the best players in Sweden.

Imo has scored 15 goals with seven assists for Pitea across 25 league games this season.

In her third season with the team, the former Nasarawa Amazons star is the club’s top goal scorer this season.

Her 15 goals surpassed her personal-season feat of 10 scored over the past two seasons for the Swedish side.

She joined Pitea from another Swedish team Rosengard in 2021 after spending two seasons with her former side.

With Rosengard, the former Nasarawa Amazons star netted seven times in 37 league games.
