CAF confirm schedules of Rangers and Enyimba’s next continental engagements

The two remaining Nigerian representatives on the continent, Rangers International FC and Enyimba FC now know the dates for their continental assignments.

In the CAF Champions League, Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) winners, Rangers International FC, will face Sagrada Esperanca from Angola with the first leg take place on September 13.

Two-time African champions Enyimba FC, on the other hand, will play Etoile Filante de Ouagadougou of Burkina Faso in the CAF Confederation Cup first leg taking place on September 13, 2024.

Both tournaments are in the second preliminary round stage. Four teams from Nigeria started the journey on the continent with Rangers International defeating US Zilimadjou of Comoros Island in the first Preliminary Round of the CAF Champions League 2-1 on aggregate.

Remo Stars lost 3-2 on aggregate to AS FAR FC from Morocco in the same stage of the competition.

2024 President Federation Cup champions, El-Kanemi Warriors also bowed out of the CAF Confederation Cup 3-2 on aggregate to Dadje FC of Benin Republic.

The People’s Elephant, as Enyimba is fondly called, is joining the CAF Confederation Cup at the second Preliminary Round after being on bye in the previous round.
