Daniel Ogunmodede voices concerns over Remo Stars’ readiness

Technical Adviser of Remo Stars, Daniel Ogunmodede, has expressed dissatisfaction with his team’s level of preparedness for the new football season.

The Sky Blues Stars will be representing Nigeria in the CAF Champions League next month after finishing second in the recently concluded Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Despite emerging as champions in the ValueJet Preseason tournament by defeating Ikorodu City 2-1 in the final on Wednesday, Ogunmodede noted that the team did not play to their full potential and expressed concerns about their readiness for the upcoming season.

He promised to make the most of the few days remaining before the commencement of the continental football season to achieve much-needed success.

“To be honest, I’m not sure we are ready. The boys are yet to play to the level we wanted, and it calls for concern,” Ogunmodede told media.

“We have about three weeks to the Champions League match, which makes it more concerning for me, but I can’t complain much.

“We need to hasten their mental readiness and make the best of the few times we have.”
