Robo Queens forward, Folashade Ijamilusi is on top of the world after ending the 2023/2024 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership regular season as the top goal scorer.

The former Nigeria junior international scored eight goals after 14 games to top the chart.

Nasarawa Amazons’ Ojiyovwi Kesiena is nearby with seven goals and has the chance of increasing that at the season-ending Super Six.

Ijamilusi is on cloud nine as her goals lifted the Lagos Landladies to a fourth-place finish in Group B which was not enough to make the team qualify for the Super Six as she heaped praises on her teammates for their support during the season.

“I’m very glad to finish as the top scorer of the 2023/2024 NWFL Premiership! It’s been a season of hard work and determination, and I’m so proud to see it pay off,” she wrote on her official twitter account.

“Thanks to my teammates for their incredible teamwork and our coaches for their guidance and belief in me.”

Highlights of her season are scoring a brace twice against Ekiti Queens and Bayelsa Queens.

FC Robo Queens defeated Ekiti Queens 2-0 with Ijamilusi scoring the two goals at the end of Matchday 11 and also bagged a brace during her side’s 2-1 victory against Bayelsa Queens in Yenegoa as the topflight season ended last week.
