Rasheedat Ajibade scores in Atletico Madrid’s big win at Real Sociedad

Nigerian midfielder Rasheedat Ajibade made a significant contribution to Atlético Madrid’s impressive 2-0 triumph over Real Sociedad in the Spanish Liga F.

The Super Falcons’ assistant captain showcased her prowess by netting a crucial goal during stoppage time, securing the win for the visitors.

Ajibade’s seventh goal of the season came as a result of a lightning-fast counterattack, as she surged down the left flank and expertly finished past the Sociedad goalkeeper.

Her performance underscored her impact on the team, as she has now been directly involved in 12 goals (seven goals and five assists) in 25 league appearances for the capital club this campaign.

The scoring was initiated by Brazilian striker Ludmilla, who capitalized on a well-timed run to beat the offside trap and calmly slot the ball past the onrushing Sociedad keeper.

This crucial victory propels Atlético Madrid to third place in the league standings, significantly enhancing their prospects of securing European football next season.
