Full house as Rosengard midfielder arrives Super Falcons camp in Gold Coast

Rosengard star, Halimatu Ayinde arrived at the Nigeria women’s national team fold in Gold Coast, Australia.
The arrival of the former Eskilstuna United player completes a full-house of the 23-player squad ahead of their FIFA Women’s World Cup opener against Canada in Melbourne.
22 players were in camp when Francesca Ordega joined the team five days ago.
21 players were in camp as of July 5 with 18 players taking part in the team’s first training a day later at Gold Coast Sports Centre.
Gift Monday, Esther Okoronkwo and Tochukwu Oluehi were rested for July 6 training sessions.
The nine-time African champions will be making their ninth appearance at the FIFA Women’s World Cup this year after featuring at every edition of the tournament since its inception in 1991.
Ghana with three appearances at the FIFA Women’s World Cup is the second African country with the most appearances at the tournament but won’t feature at this year’s global women’s football Mundial.
The West African giants in women’s football will face Canada, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland in Group B at the tournament.
With a quarter-final finish in 1999 and a Round of 16 feat in 2019, Randy Waldrum’s wards will hope to equal or surpass their best World Cup records in Australia and New Zealand.
